RECTIFIERS FOR CATHODIC PROTECTION

PROTECTION

GUARDIAN provides rectifiers for cathodic protection against corrosion of underground storage tanks and pipelines. The rectifier is an AC to DC constant voltage converter that delivers DC current to the buried structure. The rectifier has a negative connection which must be directly connected to the tank and piping to be protected. Several types of power supplies and rectifiers are manufactured to suit a variety of application needs.

Rectifiers can be used to protect underground storage tanks used by service stations (gasoline retailers) and to protect underground pipelines and well casings in the oil and natural gas industries. We produce rectifiers that provide cathodic protection for both the service station and the oil and natural gas pipeline industries.




SERVICE STATION RECTIFIERS


The LYNX model rectifier is our top of the line. This rectifier comes in a 12" x 18" x 8"

pre galvanized steel, blue powder epoxy coated enclosure. This model is available in 5 standard voltage/current rated versions. Some of the special features of these units are: meter viewing window, engraved front panel, AC breaker, DC fuse, AC OK light, 4000 volts insulation to ground, lightning/surge protection. Your logo, company

name and telephone number can be engraved on a plate for the front panel with the statement: "This unit produced for...".


The MINK model is our intermediate line rectifier rated at 40 volts - 5 amperes. This unit comes in a 12" x 12" x 6" galvanized steel, gray powder epoxy coated enclosure with an hour meter standard and may have an ammeter or voltmeter added. The MINK also has an engraved front panel, 4000 volts to ground insulation, lightning/surge protection, DC fuse, AC fuse, AC OK light.

PIPELINE RECTIFIERS

The Quality Light rectifier is designed for use in protection of underground pipelines. We currently have 11 models of the Quality Light. This rectifier comes in a 12" x 18" x 8" NEMA 3R gray powder epoxy coated, pre galvanized steel cabinet. These units

come standard with an ammeter. Some of the special features are: engraved front panel, AC breaker, DC fuse, 4000 volts insulation to ground, surge protection.

 
A larger/heavier rectifier called the Quality Heavy is the latest addition to our pipeline rectifier line! These rectifiers are rated above 40 volts - 20 amps.
