The TOMCAT is our smallest solar system and is designed for applications where you would normally use 5-17lb. magnesium anodes or less. The TOMCAT's normal out put is between 250-500 mA. The advantage of the TOMCAT system versus magnesum is its 20 year life design, lower cost, and 8 driving volts which enables your structure to polarize to a greater degree. The TOMCAT's output can be increased 3 fold to between 1000 to 2000 mA with the addition of up to 3 ADD-A-CATS.

There are many times when utilizing magnesium anodes is not the best answer. When the resistivity of the soil is to high, the cost of installation is high. Continually replacing mag. anodes is just not cost effective, or your current requirement is to high for mag. anodes but not enough for a standard rectifier.
Guardian has provided a practical and economical alternative with our Tomcatline of solar systems.
The Tomcat has a 10Watt solar panel, a 10Ah Power Sonic battery and a Guardian regulator/control.
The Tomcat installation takes only a couple of hours and provides the equivalent current of 10, 17lb
Magnesium anodes. The big advantage after cost is that the Tomcat provides 8 driving volts compared to the 1.75volts of the magnesium anode.
Guardian has also made the Tomcat expandable with our Add-A-Cat at only $475.00. Once you have purchased the Tomcatyou can then use the Add-A-Cat to increase your output incrementally. The Add-A-Cat bolts right onto your Tomcat, and interfaces electrically with your Tomcat in minutes. With each Add-A-Cat you increase your output by 500mA.
Tomcat– 6volts and .5 amps
Tomcat and 1 Add-A-Cat-6volts and 1 amp
Tomcat and 2 Add-A-Cats-6volts and 1.5 amps
Tomcat and 3 Add-A-Cats-6volts and 2 amp
The TOMCAT II is designed for applications whereyou would normally use 5-17 lb mag anodes. The TOMCAT normal output is between 500-1000 mA. This is perfect for natural gas distribution systems, multiple well coated under ground storage tanks, low spots on your pipeline and shallow well casings. The TOMCAT II output can be increased to an output level between 1000 to 2000 mA with the addtion od the ADD-A-CAT II.
